Rick heads the Norman Business Law Center in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He has long been at the forefront of arbitration in Louisiana. His most recent legal treatise on business law, Louisiana Corporations (Thompson/West 2006) has a chapter devoted to arbitration. His legal treatise on employment law, Employment Law (Thompson/West 2006) includes several sections devoted to employment arbitration. He has lectured at the Law Institute on arbitration. Rick was formerly Civil Division chief at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Louisiana and City Attorney for the City of Lake Charles. He was formerly on the AAA Panel of Arbitrators and for many years he was chairman of an ethics panel for the Louisiana State Bar Association.
